Privacy Policy

The short version: Munchdrop has no accounts and no servers of its own. It finds what's open around you in the moment — there's no list to build and no profile of where you go. Your location is used only to search nearby places and is never stored on a server or used to track you. The only outside company involved is Google, which serves the ads in the free version.

What we collect

Munchdrop has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no backend server of ours. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Munchdrop doesn't ask you to build or save a list of places — it discovers what's nearby each time. Only your app settings (things like your delivery-app preferences and sound) are stored locally on your device.

Location

If you allow location access, Munchdrop uses your current location in the moment to find restaurants open around you and to show the area you're in (for example, "Near Roslyn"). Your location is used on your device to search nearby places through Apple Maps and is not sent to any server of ours. We do not store your location, keep a history of it, build a profile from it, or use it to track you over time. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; the app needs it to find what's nearby.

Ads (free version)

The free version of Munchdrop shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google's software may collect and use certain information such as your device's advertising identifier, general (non-precise) location, and ad-interaction data, in line with Google's advertising policies. Munchdrop does not send Google your precise GPS location or the restaurants you're shown. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Buying the one-time Munchdrop Pro upgrade removes all ads, after which no ad software runs.

Purchases

The optional Munchdrop Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; Munchdrop never sees your payment details. We only receive Apple's confirmation of whether the upgrade is active on your device.

Third parties

Aside from Google AdMob (free version only) and Apple's own App Store and Maps services, Munchdrop includes no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We run no analytics of our own.

Children

Munchdrop is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no accounts and stores its data on the device.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
